A group of outstanding Putnam County School District team members rallied together this summer and put on two powerful days of learning and networking for The Putnam County School District's New Teacher Institute.
"Every year we look forward to our New Teacher Institute where careful planning goes into making sure our new teachers leave with information on classroom management, building a positive classroom culture, managing their personal well being, and understanding their students' brains. We invite key district staff and their administration in to help build the community of PCSD, along with showering them with gifts and food to get them started with a ton of support already in place! Last week more than 30 first-year teachers and teachers new to Putnam County gathered together and embarked on a two day event packed full of teaching, learning, collaborating, sharing, making connections, learning engaging teaching strategies, and more! This was a remarkable event for our new educators to come together, build community, and instill the pride we have for our District.
There were an array of great door prizes and supplies that community sponsors donated to the District's newest educators. As always a heartfelt THANK YOU to the many sponsors and individuals that generously donated to the New Teacher Institute!
